won't try to ram something down your throat just because it's the product we
make the most money from. We're staking our hard won reputation on this
paddling range, & don't expect you to be disappointed with the
performance of your gear. We will also give you a detailed breakdown of why
we've chosen a particular product for our range, as well as where

Cheater have developed Aquatherm, the revolutionary
new material which provides insulation from wind and wet and gives protection
from UV rays.
A Reed Chill Cheater provides a thermal barrier similar to a
traditional wetsuit, but is lighter, more flexible and is easier to get on
and off. The smooth polyurethane outer surface sheds water incredibly quickly minimising the effects of windchill.
The matt black finish also maximises heat
absorption from the sun and coupled with body heat maintains a thin layer of
warm water between your skin and the fabrics. Reed Chillcheater gear is
designed by sea kayakers, for sea kayakers and has been used on expeditions
the world over, from the sub Antarctic to the North Sea.
Reed Chillcheater Aquatherm
Touring Cag
(Aquatherm
and Super Stretch Aquatherm Fabrics). A uniquely soft and comfortable cag
that can be worn next to the skin or over thermals in the cold.
This cag makes use of our new front baffle neck seal,
which, with its wider neck gape when undone, allows for good ventilation on
prolonged journeys. Super stretch Aquatherm dry seals on the cuff and neck
offers a more comfortable fit over a broader area of your wrist and neck,
giving a comfortable seal without the cruder pressure associated with
traditional latex seals (great for folks who may have grumbling problems with
tendonitis.) The seals are tough and durable and non splitting, and are not a “write off” should you puncture them.
There is a snap on / off hood with a wired brim with adjustable straps at the
sides to get a snug fit for when the weather closes in. Reflective strips are
on the hood, and cuffs for added safety. All seams are stitched and tape for
strength and water tightness. The body has an adjustable twin waist seal
fixing securely over your deck.

Reed Aquatherm Pre-Bent Shorts
Specialty cut for paddling, so that the optimum
position is sitting for paddling. Made from breathable Aquatherm, close
fitted & comfortable for extended use. Ours have been through the ringer
for the past 18 months & are still as good as the day they were pulled
out of the pack. They’re so light you barely notice them, without the
overheating issues neoprene can throw up in our hot climate.

Reed Transpire Fleece Top
Incredibly comfortable fleece on the inside. High
lycra content. Worn as a base layer, the top is ideal under a dry or membrane
suit for diving, or under a cag for kayaking. The Transpire fleece is made
from an anti-snag fabric, featuring yarns coated with durable,
water-repellant coating, which makes the garment warm wet or dry. Terrific
fast wicking performance, with a fleeces weight to warmth ratio which leads it’s class.
Fitting should be skin tight (allowing the fabric to be in contact with the
skin at all points) to maximise sweat wicking potential. The high neck is
easily rolled down under a dry seal. The Transpire fleece range was the
chosen base layer for the Royal Marines Summit Expedition to Mount Everest in
March 2003 and the Army Everest team in 2006.

rafting and recreational paddling. The Sea Kayaking PFD features 210 denier
outer shell with tear resistant PU reinforced coating; PVC soft profiled

strap adjustment system on the shoulders, side and waist belt to keep the

purpose watersports garment. Pulls on like a T-shirt.
Fully taped and waterproofed external seams for maximum strength. Can be worn
on its own, or for extra warmth as a thermal booster layer underneath a

exhausting catch, a smooth feel through the stroke & with the shortened
face a quick & easy exit. It is a tremendously strong paddle for
technical paddling & strokes, yet doesn’t need a huge amount of
grunt to cruise distance. We are noticing sea kayakers skills rising around the country. The days of the thin bladed ‘touring’

A fantastic combination where the blades can be removed from the shaft (each blade is held in position with a paddlok button). The shaft is a single length which has no centre joint. This paddle allows you to have inter-changeable blades. Any part of the paddle is easily replaced if it breaks or needs renewing. This rescue system has been designed to go hand in hand with the 'Maybe a casualty, never a victim' methods and strategies taught for rescues and can be used for several different functions, as a tow system it can be set to variable lengths, depending on the diameter of line the bag can accommodate up to 25 meters of line but comes as standard with 15 meters .The system can be reversed so when used as a throw system can be projected into a rescue from the seat of your kayak, yet still be used as a tow system, having a strong clip at both ends of the system, means that once projected in to the incident, the casualty can, if able, clip it into their kayak or hold on, to be pulled clear of any danger. The belt of the tow system is designed so that the anchor point of the bag can swivel around the paddler's waist by the attachment of a stainless steel 'D' ring onto the bridle of the belt. Your roll fails, your re-enter & roll fails, go to the paddle float re-entry, it's likely to be your final & best option.
